Single Parenting
Any single parents out there? Shout out to single parents. I think single parents don’t understand the normalcy of adulting. I think they have not experienced the support of a partner and therefore have not experienced really much down time.
I am told consistently by various people that I really do not know how to relax and that I need to learn how to relax. I guess I can only go on adrenaline for so long. Adrenal fatigue… it’s a real thing…. Where your body is screaming at you to take care. How does a single parent find balance? Mom can you drive me to practice? Mom may I hang out downtown with my friend for 2 hours? Mom I hurt my foot. Mom I feel sick. Mom can we order Chinese tonight? Mom could I have 3 friends over for the night tonight? Mom can we get a hot tub.. .please!!??? Mom can we go see the Eiffel tower? Everyone I know has been there. 11pm bedtime?? What?? Mom!!! Everyone I know just gets online at 11!! Mom I need a new wardrobe, I want to change my look. Mom could I redo my whole bedroom? I want to change it up I don’t like it the way it is. Mom can you drive me to the mall?
Shall I keep going?
Doctors, birthdays, competitive sports, jobs, school (costly private school for Jorg no bus and far from home), meeting friends, house chores, yard chores, laundry, nutritious meals, taking care of the dog, social life, fun times… it really never ends.
Not to mention emotional, physical, spiritual well being. Loving your kid. In their love language. Spending enough quality time so that their needs are really being met. So they feel heard.
One of the things I do do is regularly take organic minerals. It has been a game changer. What I was so exhausted and barely surviving to do before is no longer overwhelming as my energy levels are now consistent all day every day.
